About the artist

YinRu Chien is a mix media artist. She is very interested in the surrealism of the fictitious elements. Recently, YinRu is fascinated by villages (especially the declined ones) and she makes art with text, images, fabrics (which tell stories), ready-made or useless objects.

Idea/Project

This is an art project dedicated to the tribal ancestors. The old village houses carry the slices of historical events. In the past, the Amis and Bunun people walked across mountains and the Kavalan and Sakizaya roared their boats ashore. They lived, fought, resolved their problems and exchanged life skills.
