大樹下，那被責備的美食

那一天老人們在田裡工作，伊祐看到爸爸放下手邊的農具，跑到海邊下水了，過沒多久就收獲滿滿的回到Taloan(工寮)旁的大樹下，開始升起火烹煮新鮮的漁獲。中餐時間到了，大家陸續回到大樹旁涼快，只見爸爸被阿嬤念了一下：「怎麼會有這樣的kadafo（女婿），工作做到一半人就不見了？」看在爸爸為家人準備豐盛的午餐阿嬤便不忍責備，於是大家就愉快的享用那被責備後的美食。
The Scolding under the Big Tree

One day when the adults were working in the fields, I saw my father put down the tool in his hand, run toward the beach, and jump into the water. In a little while, he returned with a load of fish, sat under the huge tree by the taloan (a hut), and started a fire to cook his catch. When it was lunchtime, everyone hungrily gathered under the cool shade of the tree, but my grandmother said to him: “What kind of son-in- law are you?! You just left in the middle of your work!” However, seeing all the fish my father had caught and prepared, my grandmother couldn’t bear to keep yelling at him, and everyone happily enjoyed the meal.
「大樹の下、叱られたごちそう」

ある日、老人たちが畑で仕事をしていた。伊祐は父親が手にした農具を放り出して、海へ向かって走り出して、飛び込んだのを見た。しばらくすると、父親はいっぱいの収穫物を持って帰って来た。そして、仕事場のそばの大樹の下に収穫を置き、海鮮料理を作り始めた。
昼食の時間になった。みんな続々と涼しい大樹の下に帰って来た。ふと見ると、父親がおばあさんにひとこと言われていた。「どうして私の娘婿はこんなんふうになってしまったのか。仕事の途中でいなくなってしまうなんて！」
おばあさんは、伊祐の父親がみんなのために、ごちそうを準備しているのを見て、すぐには叱ることができなかった。つまり、みんなが楽しく食べていたのは叱られたごちそうだったのだ。
